In the year that marks the centenary of this work by Francisco Miranda de Andrade (1902-1999), and on the exact day of the author's birthday (August 26), the Miranda de Andrade Foundation is promoting the reissue of this work, which has long been out of print, despite continuing to be a reference in this approach to the work of our greatest poet.
The initiative has the support of the Porto City Hall, the author's grandson and President of the Foundation, Tiago Andrade, Jorge Sobrado, City Councillor for Culture and Heritage, and José Augusto Bernardes, Commissioner-General for the Commemorations of the 500th Anniversary of Camões.
Preceding the session, there will be a Camões-themed walking tour*, guided by historian Joel Cleto, departing from the Palace of Justice at 4:30 PM and arriving at the Book Fair at 6 PM. Participants will be given a leaflet with a "Camões itinerary," highlighting some places and monuments in Porto related to Camões.
*No prior registration is required for the visit.
From 6PM to 6:45PM
